Yerevan, sometimes spelled Erevan, is the capital and largest city of Armenia. It is also one of the world’s oldest, continuously inhabited cities.
The climate in Armenia is continental, with dry and sunny summers lasting from June to mid-September. The temperature fluctuates between 22 and 36 °C, but the humidity level is low. Evening breezes blow down the mountains and provide a refreshing, cooling effect.
