This section is where guided tours we here at Vagabond Travel consider to be affordable, interesting, and most important… fun.
For the sake of argument, lets all agree that a guided tour is a group of people, large or small, that is led through a historical site, a city, or through a countryside or waterway by a guide. Also for sake of argument, lets agree that a tour can be taken on foot, on bicycle, in a peddle car, on horse back, riding an ATV, canoeing, aboard a bus, or cruising a harbor, coastline, river or canal in a boat.
Now that we have a common understanding of what Vagabond Travel defines as a guided tour, here the are tour operators listed by country…
Antigua and Barbuda
Papua New Guinea
Guided tours are a great way to see the sights at any destination, and learn what makes them historically significant or of current importance from a knowledgeable local.
To know what’s important wherever you are, is to get a better understanding of the people, their culture and beliefs. Building and monuments, both from the past and the present, speak volumes to anyone willing to listen. They speak of past glories and of current focuses, of by gone beliefs and current ones. What the local population deems important is usually reflected in the style and structure of what they build and how they maintain what their ancient ancestors erected. To see and learn about local landmarks, there is no better way than to take a guided tour.
If you have taken a guided tour anywhere in the world, please share your experience with other travelers by adding a review in the comment section below. Thank you!
