Hlemmur Square Hotel and HostelHlemmur Square Hotel and Hostel is set in a 1930s art deco building on Laugavegur, Reykjavík’s main shopping street. Guests can choose from modern hotel and hostel rooms or aparthotel units. Free WiFi access is available.

Rooms at Hlemmur Square have either shared or private bathrooms. Some rooms include a seating area, flat-screen TV and private balcony. Two communal kitchens are available to hostel guests. A bar and café are located on the ground floor. A small cinema is also found on site.

Each apartment is furnished with a living room and full kitchen facilities. Dinner room service is also available for apartment guests.

Located on the 3rd and 4th floors, Hlemmur Square offers upscale dormitory style accommodation as well as private rooms and apartments. The dorm beds are custom made to be absolutely noise free and feature the colors of Reykjavík with their colorful corrugated iron underside. The spacious rooms offer ample space with seating areas, large lockers for every guest and black out curtains to help ensure your good night sleep during Iceland’s famous midnight sun. The beds are made up with quality linens, bed sheets, duvets and pillows. We do not accept sleeping bags. Hostel guests have access to all the facilities such as food service, bar with a happy hour and lounges. Two guest-kitchens provide a place to cook, relax and meet other travelers.

Hlemmur Bus Station is right across the street. Hallgrimskirkja Church is a 12-minute walk away. Lake Tjornin is 1.8 km from Hlemmur Square.
