Raggamuffin Tours

Raggamuffin ToursBelize is deserving of its status as a tourist Mecca because the country has the most beautiful blue waters in the world situated off its warm, sandy beaches. Belize also has the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, with an abundance of marine and wildlife that makes it a scuba diving and snorkeling heaven. The best thing about visiting Belize though is that Raggamuffin Tours is on hand to show you around this Caribbean jewel.

Raggamuffin Tours was founded by James Jones, who grew up on the island of Caye Caulker. James “Jimmy” Jones has accumulated over two decades of experience as a Guide and Captain since he became one of the first Licensed Tour Guides in Belize. Back in those early days, Jimmy used to captain his father’s boat, the Stonecrab, and operated as Jimmy’s Tours.

For many years Jimmy worked as an independent guide, taking passengers on day snorkeling cruises and the now famous, Raggamuffin Tours’ overnight excursion. Jimmy’s dream was to build up his business to where he and other guides could run the overnight excursions on a more regular basis. That dream is now a reality.

Together with his wife and business partner, Charlie Jones, Raggamuffin Tours was founder in 2002 with the purchase of the companies first boat, Ragga Gal. That first boat is now part of a fleet that includes the Ragga King, Ragga Queen and Ragga Prince.

All tours are captained and crewed by experienced Licensed Tour Guides and Licensed Captains. As well as experienced crews operating quality boars, all of the snorkeling, fishing and camping gear is of the highest quality too, and so it the food guests are offered. In fact, all you have to bring along is suntan lotion, everything else is provided.

Vagabond

Vagabond Travel came into being April 16, 2014 when I departed Canada heading for Mexico City. I have no destination in mind, nor an itinerary to follow. This is a sort of website, journal and travel blog all rolled into one. That's about it.
